Испанский художник Пабло Пикассо и русская балерина Ольга Хохлова познакомились в Риме. Он увидел ее на сцене балета. Ему 36 семьи нет, только работа и любовницы. Художника тянуло к этой русской. Она была совсем другой, не похожей на его любовниц и манекенщиц. Больше всего нравилась Пикассо ее сдержанность. Чтобы не разлучаться с Ольгой он организовал студию в ее комнате. Художник отказался от своих линий, рисовал ее натурально. Вскоре предложил пожениться.
В это время ее балетная труппа уезжала в Америку, но Ольга выбрала брак с Пабло Пикассо. Пикассо настолько обожал Ольгу, что в брачном контракте записал, что все, что он имеет, и его картины в случае развода делятся поровну. И вот этот прекрасный контракт оказался впоследствии для Ольги самой большой трагедией. Женившись на Ольге Пикассо, продает свои картины и рисует только ее. Простая русская балерина приручила гения, он стал вести светскую жизнь. Родился сын Поль. Ольга хотела понятно, чтобы Пабло рисовал ее и сына.
Однажды художник проснулся, и почувствовал холод, который исходил от его жены. Он пошел в мастерскую и больше к ней не вернулся. Она писала ему, устраивала истерики. А однажды через стекло в его мастерской увидела на полотне другую женщину. Ольга просила художника дать развод или вернуться, но развода он ей не давал, так как не хотел отдавать картины. Бракоразводный процесс завершился в день ее смерти. Ольга была больна раком. Пикассо даже на похороны не приехал, оскорбленный тем, что она не восприняла его таким, каким он есть. Если бы они хотя бы раз поговорили и поняли друг друга, то вероятно не была бы такой трагичной их судьба.
